Remember Our Soldiers

Last November I met a woman who lives on Ebenezer Road. She has a son over in Iraq. He is the leader of a unit of 300 soldiers.

If you (or your children) would like to send a card, note or drawing to the soldiers in Iraq we can pass them along
to this man and he will distribute them to whomever needs a little boost at the time.

In the Fall we will start collecting toiletry items to send over to the troops as well as notes and drawings.

Kids' Camp
Half of our neighborhood children attend Gunpowder and another part attend Perry Hall, and still others go to private schools. In hopes of bringing together the children and parents of the neighborhood, we are trying a kids' camp this summer.

When & Where:

Tuesdays 10am-11:30am
(Rain day: Thursday)
Honeygo Park @ Snyder Ln.

Themmed days include:
- story time
- craft
(funded by the CommUnity Group)
- snack (bring your own)
- playtime

(see schedule below)
It's really important that you RSVP if you are thinking of attending, so that we can plan to have enough crafts on hand for everyone in attendance.
(You can come to the camp without RSVPing but your child runs the risk of having to watch the other children making their crafts while they cannot - you know how that can be.)

Teen Summer Events
We know how it is to finally get out of school for the summer and then after the first week of freedom... Boredom hits! If you find yourself bored and want to find something new and fun to do, why not give us a try.
We are in need of Teens to both to give us their opinions and help plan and attend events.

We are also looking for 2 or more adults who would be willing to work on planning some things to do for the kids during the summer months. Let's give those "idle hands" something positive to do!

If you're interested, give us a call 410.529.3313 or email.

Proposed Events Include:
Scavenger hunts
Beach blanket bingo
Movie & pizza nights
Camp out
Sports
Volunteering &/or Paid yard work
Plan & tend your own garden
Field trips
X-games
